After a year of its released in Japan, finally managed to get my hand on this exclusive PS3 game.What excite me the most its animation is done by the famous studio ghibli  (the one responsible for great anime like spirited away and my neighbour Totoro) and together with company Level-5 which responsible for making puzzle so fun in prof layton series. After finish playing it I would say the experience with it is Brilliant and Fun. Not only it is strong with its storyline but the battle system its introduced quite new and not to forget Fun.

Overall the story is nice and  full  with unexpected turn of events. If you watch any of Ghibli anime, the story and the world you travel makes you feel like you’re playing in Ghibli world. It manage to catch your heart as early as the first few hours of the game especially the tragic event happening to the main character a thirteen year boy Oliver. Her mother died after saving him from drowning due to her weak heart. Here’s a miracle happened  whereby he met  a fairy  named drippy and this fairy is sure not what a fairy supposed to look like and behave. With a  long nose attached to small lantern and almost round body explained to the boy about how he can save her mother in Ni No Kuni world. A parallel world to us whereby the people soul there is linked to the soul in our world. This fairy make the story more fun as his dialogue is always funny.

The side quest introduced  is so much fun and easy  whereby you collect hearts components from one people and share it to the people who lack of it and there’s also bounty  hunt included for those who like fighting more. Ni No Kuni is a vast world to explore from field ,desert, sea, and even cemetery.Travel at first will be quite tiring but as you progressed you acquire many means of transport either by magic or even by dragon!! One side quest that I like the most is collecting the missing page of your book especially the fairy tales section. A section of short stories similar like those cinderalla or Snow white

The battle system introduced is something you should try. Believe me levelling up is so much fun and not dreaded like any RPG games.You either fight  using yourself or by using a monster known as familiar. This familiars you will be able to catch in the wild , train and even evolved them with the right item……sound familiar,definitely if you play any pokemon games before. There are about 400 type to catch each with their own unique ability and stats and you know what they say Gotta Catch them all!! The battle still involved choosing option like attack, provision and so on but it also include some real time. In the middle of attacking you can suddenly cancel your attack to run around the enemy like maybe to attack its rear for better damage.As you form a party, with so many character moving around in battlefield  it creates a very lively battle scene. You can even switch control to your party member easily  and the others will be controlled by AI. Even though you can give order to the the AI, you still have to decide to either be on more defensive or offensive more .and this is important as you fighting with stronger opponents.And if this lively and fun fighting still make you tired of levelling , they even throw one creature that offer very high experience,even higher than any boss in the game!!

Hey!! you there no slacking

To further increased the thing you can do in the game, they includes alchemy system whereby you mixed ingredients to form a new stuff. As you progressed, you acquire better formulae such as to synthesize a very powerful weapons,armours and shields .Yet a game without good soundtrack will be very dull and for this reason the original soundtrack is composed by Joe hishaishi, responsible for many great soundtracks in Ghibli animes, and performed by Tokyo Philharmonic Orchaestra. the song really fits the mood and event in the game nicely. my favourite would be at the fairyground town background song.If you like japanese RPG games, this games is something you shouldn’t miss at all.Really wonderful experience.

In recent post ,i did mentioned my excitement on the new WII U , only now i’m able to get it. Though its imported but bought from local distributor. The official release in my place is still unknown. yet putting that aside , its my initial step towards partially completing next gen console collection (minus the xbox 720 & PS Vita). Bought the basic set instead of the deluxe, since i got an extra external hard disk to support the support the smaller 8gb storage offered by basic. I believe  my 1 TB hard disk should be efficient,it will be a surprise if it doesnt.

A turn down  is that you need to update the system once you upon  and with large  size update means you need to wait for awhile. I bet that we surely want to test our new item as soon as possible and you can imagine the wait. really tempting not to update it…..but patience is virtue:) My first ever  game none other New Super mario Bros U.(NSMBU) Seeing the game in full HD really astounding. since im no technician , i cant say its better than PS3,  whats important is they’re both have their own advantage

We already accustomed to the norm of every phone nowadays has camera. But what about the other way round? Samsung has produced something creative in their product lines a camerra that can make a call and even install apps. Although for me still I found a little weird that seeing people answering call with their camera same as I feel when seeing people taking photo with their big-sized tablet. Yet these perception might gone if a lot of people using it and weird can become norm. Whats interest me the most is its sharing feature.In this facebook era, everything that we think interesting we tend to shoot and upload and in this case why we upload why dont we upload a higher resolution picture instead. Later the auto -upload feature ,enable you to backup your photo in the cloud, so gone the days where we need to make though decision which picture to be deleted when our memory card is full. Another interesting feature share shot,meaning if your friends who has gadget that support wi-fi direct you can share the photo instantly to their device once you shoot the picture,up to 5 device at one time.Excellent way of sharing with the less hassle way and you know what they say “Sharing is caring”.

Just finish watching this anime recently. I believe the concept introduced  by Reki Kawahara  in this anime is what all gamers wish  to be inside the game ,experience  everything with your own hands with  the exception of you actually really died in real world  when your hp become 0 in that world, something which actually happen in this anime.

In the year 2022, video games has evolved so much that instead of playing with remote or keyboard you actually go into the game.This can be done with device known as nerve gear  , a helmet look alike , that able to stimulate all your  five senses like touch or feel , see, hear, taste and smell  as if you are in that world.The story take place  in a game known as sword art online, a  100 floor castle floating in mid-air created by mad scientist Kayaba Akihiko.I say mad because he actually trapped everyone in that game where if you want to log out from the game you need to be able to clear the game and if you died your real brain will be fried by the nerve gear.Scary!!.So the story started with how the main character kirito  travel encountering  many events in order to clear the game. If you like RPG, this anime should be great for you:)

Looking the unbelievable price offer for window 8  pro OS , make me decide to get it right away.So what’s the popular question before you install your new OS?Yup, whether you need to back up your file or not?As window go from lower version to to upper version ,installation procedure getting easier and easier, gone were the days where frightening blue screen appear during OS installation. And this time its much much easier as you don’t need to reformat your drive at all if you choose the option to save your personal file and documents.It will detect your current software whether its compatible to the new window and asked to uninstall first before starting the installation.Even the arrangement of the file is the same after you install it. Once you’re done that ,have a coffee and wait for your new OS to be load. If you are using window phone 7,the new start screen look wont be foreign to you. For those who don’t, its known as the metro interface.You can see some of the box animated up and down and for  a reason too.They are actually constantly updating themselves and known as the live tiles.So if you received an email, it will note on the tile the no of email you received and if your friend post up a status, there will be notification on the people live tile.

The interface are so new that is not understatement to say that its the new era of computer. With this new OS, Microsoft trying to make the OS as  portable as ever where it can be transferred from one comp to another and even to other device like tablet.How??By synchronisation to your windows live account( the same account that you used for windows live messenger).Now you will have the choice to log in to your comp with windows live account. Once you logged in, all your settings & preferences will be saved and as long you logged in to this account to any comp with windows 8, the windows will used your setting and it feels like you bringing your own OS to use that comp.Other than setting, you can also synchronised your contact either from facebook, hotmail, gmail and so on to the people live tile.By clicking one of the contact, you will be able to see  the person info,reply  comment & photo in facebook(if you are friend with that person) or twitter, and can even skype with that person.

Another interesting feauture is snap multi-tasking whereby two window open at one time. In this case you can see the live feeds from facebook while doing your work

If you’re using microsoft word,there should be a list of menu at the top known as ribbon.Guess what, in the new window these ribbon will also be found while you’re looking into folders and based on your content an approriate command will appear on top.

In addition to this, the new window integrate its cloud storage, skydrive, as one of its app.Any document or picture you kept in it will be able to obtain through other device with internet connection.The charm button on the right edge of the screen consisting search  ,share , start shortcut,devices and setting function tally to the content of document is very convenient.lastly  same like smartphone you can now buy or download free apps  from  window store app.Expect mobile games and apps like angry bird and so on to be able to play on your comp.

Still cant get used to the new interface, the new window also allow you to work with the old window 7 interface through its desktop hub.The difference is you don’t have any start button instead being replaced with the metro start page.

So the popular question is, should you convert.the answer yes and no.The new window are design based on touch and if you ‘re having  a non touch screen laptop,if might take more  effort to clicks to do normal thing  such as shutting down the comp (though after a while you will get used to it). But if you’re having touch screen device, it very  nice to use  with all  its app and virtual keyboard thumb friendly.Its interface are quite new and  you need some time to explore it which can be turn down for some people.But once you overcome the learning curve,the interface are so simple ,easy and fluent to use.Yet,the simple and plain interface might not suit everyone taste as people already  get used to old windows interface for so long.Microsoft plan to replace the old window to the new one ,therefore expect future software such as office to be design and function according to the new window.

Trying to imitate the handwritten technology(not exactly ) from Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to Ipad with this tool:

Being envy of how nice galaxy note 10.1 using their stylus and the fact its ridiculous to have so many tablet, i try to explore whether my ipad somehow can be handwritten. My discovery lead to apps such as Bamboo Paper & Penultimate . So what these apps got in common?Yup, it’s actually memo pads or drawing canvas able to detect stylus.Unlike galaxy note stylus which uses almost exact pen tip to write, the tip for ipad stylus however are rounded in order to imitate the surface of the fingers.So here’s the result of using stylus on penultimate:

What i like about this penultimate apps is that it has wrist protection unlike other apps.This  wrist protection prevent the apps from  writing something at the place where you lay your wrist during writing.. Even galaxy tab also have this problem. Moreover this app enable your finish product to be send to photo, evernote and dropbox. Like any other apps the background  paper can be changed to single line, graph paper and even music score. Even though its easy to handwrite on this app, the  same can’t be say to drawing. There is limited option in colours and do not have sketch function such as found in Paper apps.

Even though you can use your finger to write on this app,its much better to use stylus to write. The one i bought was Wacom Bamboo Stylus. Why I bought it is just a personal preference as there a lot  type of stylus  available in market.For example there also a stylus at one end and the other end is ink pen.In the end although it doesn’t have the advanced feature like Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, it however save my pocket money from buying another tablet:)

When the first version come out, it unexpectedly getting a high reception despite of its big screen. Now almost after  a year it come out the second one promising better experience from its previous version with the introduction of interesting new features

To improve convenience  a list of frequently used command  can be called with the swipe of S-Pen.The new stylus are build slightly thicker for improved ergonomic design ( in simple term better& more comfort on holding). Another feature just perfect for those who like to cut and paste. When you surf the web and found an item you like the most but can’t afford it , dont fret just crop the picture easily with your S pen  and assemble it together with other favourite  item to make  a book called ” Item I wish to have”.

Moreover the new S Note is enhanced with  more writing tools and note templates  to suit your creative style.You can now even send email to your friend with your own handwriting.With this feature you can send email with a lot of interesting picture related or not related to the content to the receiver. Warning: Make sure your image look good to avoid your friend thinking a 6 year old child mistakenly press send button on your phone:) Last and not least, the most important feature & recently added , which was introduced in Galaxy note 10.1 tab, the multi window feature. Here you can open two window  at the same time which definitely ease on note taking from web reference. It is expected to be available to public by next week 19 October. The latter date also rumoured as the launch of Iphone 5 and if its true , which will you choose??

If you’re wondering whether is android or ios software, you wonder wrong. Even though its called tablet, it doesn’t have a screen display. This tablet alone is useless  but with a stylus you can do wonder.By using  a stylus to write on the tablet,you’ll be amazed how accurate it reproduces your hand writing style on the pc It can also be used to draw digital arts and moreover the ability to produce different lines of thickness is valuable to an artist. The tablet above are for home use as there are also wide range of drawing tablets in the market targeting to professional needs  such as tablet with large HD screen. With the available software such as ink-squared deluxe, you can simply “doodle” anywhere on the screen.

How i decided to buy a tablet can be summarised to this flow: ebook reader to kindle fire and finally an ipad. For those who are not in the category where “i think this brand is the no1 of all & what you say about it is not my bussiness” you might find it difficult to decide which one to buy. I followed these simple steps to decide my tab

1st step: Decide what are you gonna do with the tab. Is it just for recreational purposes (surfing web &email, playing apps and so on) or for working purposes(documents editing ,presentation and so on). In this case i decided to use it as an magazine reader therefore the higher the resolution the better as what makes magazine so nice to read is the blend of its colour. For working purposes you might need not only tablet that has nice apps on editing documents but also to transfer it as easily as you go. Just remember higher spec doesn’t means its the best for you.

 2nd step: decide the price that you can afford. Don’t try to go for the model out over your budget.Since most tablets in the market  have similar price range, what makes the price difference is the capacity and whether its 3g or wifi only version. The cheaper one usually has low capacity but that doesn’t means your fun with the tab is limited, its just you need to decide what most important to be kept in your tablet.Moreover the wide variety of cloud storage(your data kept online) might accommodate your storage needs. You might tempted on the idea of installing a lot of apps in the tablet, but believe me after a while you only used certain apps and the rest will be kept as decorations.

:3rd step:Test all the available tabs that fits your two criteria above. This is important as some people like their  tab screen to be big or small, easy to carry,heavy or light,or the extra features that the tab offers such as having extended keyboard and so on.Do not based your choice solely on what people say and think as to avoid the tought “I wish i had bought that tablet instead…

Based on these steps, I decided my best tablet for me. On the first step I decided to use it as recreational purposes which are as magazine and e-book reader. Therefore I survey the tablet that has some good display resolution and two brands come into the picture apple ipad(ios) & samsung galaxy tab (android). the second step,based on my budget i can only afford medium storage and based on what i need from the tablet i bought the lowest capacity and wifi version. My rationale is i don’t store alot of movies and videos and my document can be saved on cloud strorage such as dropbox. Having a 3g is nice but since  i already have a mobile wifi it will be wasting  to buy the 3g one.Finally comes the popular question which is better android or apple? To say one is better than the other is injustice since each tablet has its own uniqueness. Applying the third step I fount out that between Samsung and Apple, i prefer the display on apple when reading magazine. So in the end decided to buy an ipad instead.

Google finally decide to come into tab business. They decided to produce a very affordable  tab  that  comes with great power.. and with great responsibility too:) . Unlike Samsung and Apple with their AMOLED  and retina display technology respectively, nothing new is introduced with this tablet. What google do is focus on its hardware especially on its CPU and Graphic.The powerful graphic& processor  and the slim shape makes me thinks that google is trying to make this tablet sort of powerful gaming device such as PSP with extra features. Not only that the small size means suitable.for reading ebook..But for me i still think kindle is the best for this area. And those who love android  will be glad to know it will be running the latest android  jelly bean.Since this device is from google, the new android compatibility with this device should be tip top.

The low price that this tablet sell means google have to cut a lot of accessories that can be found with other tablet.One example is the absence of back camera. it might be weird to take picture from tablet but hey it never hurts to have extra camera around. The decision to make it only wifi version bewildered me. Having 3G means you can  web surfing anywhere and not limited to restaurant with free wifi.Within this social networks era , to sent comment ASAP to popular site such as Facebook is priceless.
